The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Stars will play for a state championship and a berth in the 2018 Dixie Youth AAA World Series in Lumberton, North Carolina, this weekend when it faces Ruston in a best-of-three series in Alexandria. The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Stars will be looking to make history this weekend when they compete in the Louisiana Dixie Youth AAA State Championship series at the Johnny Downs Sports Complex in

The St. Mary Central 12-year-old All-Stars won the Jim Quigley Sportsmanship Award at the Louisiana Dixie Youth Majors North Regional Tournament in Shreveport this week. St. Mary Central finished the tournament as runner-ups to West Carroll. The local squad recorded a 3-2 mark in regional play. St. Mary Central 12s win sportsmanship award

The St. Mary Central 12-year-old All-Stars won the Jim Quigley Sportsmanship Awards at the Louisiana Dixie Youth Majors North Regional State Tournament in Shreveport.

The Patterson Babe Ruth 13-to-15-year-old All- Stars will continue their season at the Babe Ruth Southwest Region Tournament in Andalusia, Alabama, beginning Friday. Patterson enters the tournament after having won the district and Babe Ruth state tournaments. Patterson 15s to open play in Alabama Friday

The Patterson 13-to-15-year-old All-Stars will begin play in the Babe Ruth Southwest Region Tournament Friday in Andalusia, Alabama.

The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Stars won the Louisiana Dixie Youth Minors South Regional in Vidalia Tuesday with a 12-7 victory against Ville Platte. Morgan City will advance to a best-of-three series this weekend in Alexandria where it will face the Louisiana Dixie Youth Minors North Regional winner, Ruston, Friday and Saturday. Morgan City also won the sportsmanship award at the regional tournament. The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Star baseball team won the Louisiana Dixie Youth Minors South Regional in Vidalia Tuesday with a 12-7 victory against Ville Platte.
