The Patterson 14U All-Stars advanced to the Babe Ruth Baseball Southwest Regional in Plainview, Texas later this month after winning the Babe Ruth 14U State Championship in Madisonville Saturday. Patterson 14U All-Stars win state title

The Patterson 14U baseball All-Stars won the Babe Ruth State Tournament in Madisonville Saturday after concluding tournament play with a 3-0 mark and now will continue play at the Babe Ruth Southwe

David Levingston shot a 9-under par 63, a personal best, July 1, at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson. His nines were 34-29. The round included eight birdies, an eagle and a lone bogey on Hole 5. This is the lowest score recorded from any tee. Tillman Simmons holds the course record from the Gator Tees, a 6-under par 66. After regulation, a 3 way tie was in place. Wille drew the bye. Corso defeated Gilmore in a 40 shoe match and then was defeated by Wille. Wille was class and Tournament Champion.
