Horseshoe event is Saturday

The Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association will hold its annual Day in the Park at Kemper Williams Park Saturday at 10 a.m.
Anyone interested in pitching organized Horseshoes should attend. No experience is needed.
Cadets under age 12 pitch from 20 feet. Juniors under age 18 pitch from 30 feet. Women pitch from 30 feet, while adult men, ages 18-69 pitch from 40 feet. Elders (ages 70 and older) pitch from 30 feet. Horseshoe pitching is a fun, family and healthy sport.
Spare Horseshoes will be available for anyone that does not have any.
A hi lo Horseshoemania tournament will be held, switching partners every round, playing as a team and also for themselves.
The Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association also will meet at the pits March 17 at 6 p.m. to organize their Spring League, with play starting March 24 at 6 p.m.
League is handicap and count all.
Also, Kemper Williams Park will be the host of the 2020 La. State Mixed Doubles and Cajun Coast Classic (The Horseshoe Tour) along with approximately eight more sanctioned tournaments.
Monroe will host the 2020 World Horseshoe Pitching Tournament
