Morgan City, Patterson and Central Catholic High schools qualified for the boys basketball postseason in their respective classifications when playoff brackets were announced Monday afternoon. Morgan City and Central Catholic are tied for the highest seed among area squads as they are ninth seeds in Class 4A and Division IV, respectively. Meanwhile, Patterson is the No. 12 seed in Class 3A. Patterson holds fall sports awards ceremony

Patterson High School honored its athletes in football, volleyball, swimming and cheerleading during an awards ceremony at the school Tuesday.

Patterson outlasts Berwick in OT 47-42

Patterson and Berwick played another close game in their second round of District 8-3A action with Patterson coming out with a victory, this time in overtime.

The Patterson Lumberjacks improved to 17-3 overall and 5-0 in District 8-3A action with a 44-33 victory against Abbeville Tuesday in Patterson. The Lumberjacks will continue league play Thursday when they host North Vermilion.
