Area basketball teams were busy during the holiday break.
Patterson High School Lumberjacks kept the Tioga Indians on their toes Wednesday night as the local team took a 44-39 loss in the 5-4A St. Martinville Holiday Shoot-Out. Patterson High's Elijah Williams scored nearly half of the teams points scoring 16. Above is Williams, 31, in earlier season play against the Jeanerette Tigers. Tournament play continues Thursday.
