The Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit opens Feb. 24 at the Jeanerette Museum. Events begin at 2 p.m.

The Krewe of Hannibal will present its ball on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. Making an appearance will be King Hannibal and Queen Cleopatra XXXVIII Theron Brooks and Shelly Broussard.
