CCHS' Garber signs with Hastings College

Central Catholic High School’s Thomas Garber will continue both his baseball and football careers on the next level as he signed with Hastings College Friday at Central Catholic.

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association recognizes seniors who have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout their four years of high school. Central Catholic High School senior football player Blake Byrne earned the All-Academic Composite Team Award during the state championship games at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in December. Presenting Byrne with his award are Richard Laverne, LHSAA Executive Committee member and St. Thomas More High School president, and Central Catholic High School Principal Vic Bonnaffee.
