Priests lead people across a bridge in Leonville as part of a recent Fête-Dieu du Teche observance. This year's Fête will petition for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is scheduled for Aug. 15. The boat procession will travel 40 miles down Bayou Teche. The event also will mark the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

St. Mary administrators outline what school schedule will look like

CENTERVILLE — St. Mary Parish high school students will return to classes this fall in a four-period day, while middle school students will be using a six-period day.
