Yani Johnson, 23, had a standout game for the Central Catholic Lady Eagles Friday night at home. CCHS defeated the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers 59-51 in the back-and-forth contest. Johnson had 24 points to lead Central.

Central Catholic's Elijah Swan, 12, and Morgan City High's Deondra Grogan, 5, reach for the ball in a contest held earlier in December.
