Parents struggle to do what’s best for tormented daughter

DEAR ABBY: I’ve been with my boyfriend, “Rocko,” for two years, but in the late months of last year, he became distant. He would disappear for days at a time, block my phone number and ignore me.
DEAR ABBY: I am a 53-year-old woman who has finally met a kind, decent man after many abusive relationships.
DEAR ABBY: My ex is a recovering drug addict. We have a 2-year-old son together. I realized he was using drugs when I was seven months pregnant and all our money was gone.
DEAR ABBY: I am a recovering drug addict. I have slipped, as many do, but I have been clean for four years now. The problem is my family.
