William Robert “Bob” Rollins, 69, a native of Lexington, Okla., and resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.

Bob is survived by three sons, Derrick Rollins of New Orleans, Michael Reid of Gulfport, Miss., and Kenneth Rollins and his wife Amanda of Cleveland, Tenn.; two daughters, Kemberley Scully and her husband Ronald of Morgan City and Vanessa Kimbril and her husband Chuck of Cleveland, Tenn.; one brother, John Rollins and his wife Brenda of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Lou Stewart and her husband Ed of Lafayette and Norma Catledge and her husband Daymon of Norman, Okla.; and eight grandchildren, Shawn, Brad and Brennan Scully, all of Morgan City, Chaz and Cooper Kimbril, and Connor, Kathryn and Vince Rollins, all of Cleveland, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Rollins; his mother, Susie Garner Rollins; twin brothers, Jessie Rollins and Jimmie Rollins; and one sister, Ima Jean Kelley.

Bob was an avid OU, Saints and Dodgers fan. He immensely enjoyed spending time outdoors, either fishing or deer hunting with his family. Bob was a prankster, often playing tricks on his family. Bob enjoyed driving his grandsons to their ball games, so much so, that his family would joke that Bob’s truck needed to be painted yellow like a school bus. Dancing was also a favorite pastime of Bob’s; it was something he especially enjoyed at his Mardi Gras krewe’s events in Lafayette.

The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, May 19, 2012, 6-9 p.m., at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Funeral services and burial will follow privately at a later date in Bob’s hometown of Lexington, Okla.
