Water outage at Morgan City High School
Morgan City High School was closed today due to a valve that broke and blocked the flow of water to the school. Morgan City Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi said the city was changing a water meter at Morgan City High School Sunday and had to close a water valve at the school. City workers turned the valve back on and thought everything was fine, Grizzaffi said. However, City Hall got a call this morning that the school did not have any water, Grizzaffi said. The city was putting in a new valve this morning, he said. From left, Henry Treo, Delmond Madise, and Robert Gould of Morgan City utilities department repair the valve.
