Thibodaux-May exchange vows

Jolie Michelle Thibodaux and Brett Stephen May were united in holy matrimony during a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson. The Rev. Donovan Labbe officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Donna and David Thibodaux of Patterson. She is the granddaughter of the late Lloyd and Edna Bourque, the late Jack Wirtz, the late Floyd Thibodaux and the late Evelyn Thibodaux.

The groom is the son of Shelly and Steve May of Berwick. He is the grandson of the late D.J. and Freda Tranchina, the late Robert May Sr. and the late Sally Freia.

For the occasion, readers were Jade Thibodaux True, sister of the bride and Brian Tranchina, uncle of the groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Diane Vinning, godmother of the bride and Erin Patterson, godmother of the groom.

Music was by organist Lee LeBlanc and violist Gina Doran.

The bride was escorted in marriage by her father.

Jenny Thibodaux was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle May, sister of the groom; Allison Burns, Misty Bailey, Shelly Scully, Erin LeJeune and Sara Pollock.

Best man was Lance Williams. Groomsmen were Cody Carlino, Gabriel Beadle, Timothy Crochet, Matthew Felps, Joshua Duke and Luke Billiot.

Ushers were Denis Lanaux, Steven Ramirez and Luke Patterson, cousin of the groom.

A reception followed at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City.

Prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Petroleum Club.

Pre-nuptial parties included a bridal shower given by family and friends at the home of Meredith Bonneval, a Mexican fiesta party hosted by Mike and Erin Patterson, and Brian and Marianna Tranchina, and a grits and grillades brunch hosted by Dr. Donald and Jeannie Thibodaux.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Patterson High School, a 2009 graduate of Louisiana State University and a 2013 graduate of Our Lady of the Lake College with a degree as a physician assistant.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Berwick High School and a 2007 graduate of LSU. He is a financial advisor with Amerprise Financial Services.

They honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and reside in Baton Rouge.
