Teacher supplies needed by July 18
Episcopal Community Services and its sponsors invite St. Mary Parish teachers of 0 to 3 years’ experience to collect free school supplies that will be needed in the classroom.
A short program, light lunch and then supply collection will be held Wednesday, July 25 on a first-come, first-served basis. Teachers are asked to bring their school identification.
The event will be held at Trinity Episcopal’s Fleury Hall and Community Center, 302 Greenwood St., Morgan City, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Monetary or supply donations are being solicited from the community through Wednesday, July 18 to support the event.
They can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon.
A list of needed supplies includes: pens (blue, black and red), Sharpie permanent markers, scissors, pencils (#2) regular, Vis-à-vis overhead markers, awards for students, pencils #2 (decorative, birthday), spiral tablets, awards cards for students (all subjects), stickers (all kinds), loose-leaf paper (wide and college rule), teacher desk calendar, stapler and staples, push pins, markers, tape and tape dispensers and bulletin board border.
Also needed are crayons, index cards (ruled and unruled), posters (all grade levels/all kinds), composition books, Post It notes (all sizes), bulletin board letters (all colors/sizes), dividers for binders, Expo pens (dry erase markers), correction tape or liquid paper, electric pencil sharpeners, highlighters (all colors), hand sanitizer, Kleenex, pencil erasers, rubber bands, paper towels, construction paper, three-hole punches, flash drives for teacher and paper clips (all sizes).
Additionally, erasers for dry erase boards, clocks with batteries, folders (pocket with prongs), staple removers, protractors, folders (manila), binder clips (all sizes), compasses, folders (pocket with no prongs, all colors), teacher desk calculators (basic one), rulers, three-ring binders, glue sticks, Clorox wipes, pencil markers, air freshener, band aids, graph paper and copy paper would be greatly appreciated.
