Taco Bell is winless at wood bat tourney

Taco Bell finished 0-2-1 at the Denham Springs Wood Bat Tourney this weekend.

While Taco Bell fell to Live Oak, 4-0, and Acadiana, 2-1, the squad tied Central of Baton Rouge, 2-2.

Against Live Oak, Daniel Gray suffered the loss. In 2.2 innings, he surrendered three earned runs on three hits with two walks, one strikeout and hit two batters.

Austin Price also pitched 3.1 innings for Taco Bell and surrendered a hit and fanned two, while Jeremy Boudreaux pitched an inning and gave up a hit, an earned run, two walks and fanned two.

Brandon Fryou led the Taco Bell offense with a 1-for-2 performance.

Against Acadiana, Andrew Askew suffered the loss. In 6.1 innings, he surrendered two earned runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

At the plate, Neal Theriot and Gray each finished 1-for-3 with a double.

Against Central of Baton Rouge, Justin Morvant pitched five innings and surrendered two runs — one earned — on two hits with one walk and fanned six.

D.J. Robicheaux also pitched two innings and surrendered a walk and fanned two.

At the plate, Fryou finished 1-for-2 with a double to lead Taco Bell.
