Taco Bell Edges M C Bank, 8-7, in Tuesday's youth action

Taco Bell edged M C Bank, 8-7, in Dixie Youth action at Complex Park in Morgan City on Tuesday.

Brett Morell led Taco Bell with a 3-for-3 performance with a run, while Dale Turner added a 2-for-2 outing with two runs. Other Taco Bell hitters included Akaya Poole, 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs; Gunner Theriot, 1-for-2, an RBI and a run; Kye Hartley, 1-for-3, two RBIs; and Phillip Guarisco, two runs.

For M C Bank, Leroy Byers finished 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs, while Braxton Fontenot finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, William LaRocca finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run, and Dylan Tingle, Peyton Grizzaffi and Kolin Crappell each scored a run.

In other action Tuesday, MC Rentals defeated Ocean Marine, 7-5.

Ethan Boagni led MC Rentals with a 2-for-3 performance with two RBIs, while Ryan Miller also finished 2-for-3 with two runs. Other MC Rentals players collecting hits included Matthew Mire, 1-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and a run; Deroen Canty, 1-for-2, a double and an RBI; Luke Barbier, three runs; and Michael A. Hill, a run.

For Ocean Marine, Anthony Griffin recorded a 2-for-4 performance with two RBIs and a run, while Gilbert Johnson finished 2-for-4 with a run.

Austin Blair and Shea Gaspard each finished 1-for-2 with Blair adding a run, while Chance Randle recorded an RBI and Jhai Robinson added two runs.

Dragna 4, MC Rentals 3

Cameron Aucoin was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs to lead Dragna to a 4-3 win against MC Rentals on Monday at Complex Park in Morgan City.

Other hitters for Dragna included Ricky Cruz, 1-for-2; Bryce Grizzaffi, 1-for-3, with a run; Hunter Mouton, an RBI; and Alex Brocato, a run.

On the mound, Grizzaffi pitched five innings and allowed two runs on four hits and struck out three.

For MC Rentals, Brooks Thomas finished 2-for-3 with a run, while Cooper LeBlanc and Tucker Manuel each finished 1-for-2 with LeBlanc adding a triple. Zach Miller added two runs for Morgan City Rentals.

On the mound, Jaybian Hartley pitched five innings and allowed three runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out eight.

Skipper’s 4,

Johnny’s Propellers 3

Thomas Mire pitched six inning and added a hit as Skipper’s beat Johnny’s Propellers, 4-3, in action at Complex Park on Monday.

In six innings of work, Mire allowed three runs on three hits. He walked for and fanned six.

At the plate, he finished 1-for-2 with a run.

Other hitters for Skipper’s included Dylan Landry, 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and two runs; Jakeem Mosley, 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a run; and Travis Whitehead added a 1-for-3 performance.

For Johnny’s, Tyler O’Con finished 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and two runs; Ben Allen added a 1-for-3 performance; and Pete Washington scored a run.

On the mound, Makye Richard pitched three innings and surrendered two runs on three hits, walked five and struck out six.

Allen also pitched for Johnny’s and in three innings, he allowed two runs on two hits and struck out five.

Morgan City Rentals 11, Offshore Hammers 8

Cooper LeBlanc finished with two hits and pitched six innings in Morgan City Rentals’ 11-8 victory against Offshore Hammers on Friday at Complex Park.

LeBlanc finished 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run. While on the mound, he surrendered four hits, two walks and struck out seven in six innings of work.

Other Morgan City Rentals hitters included Greg Landry, 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run; Brooks Thomas, 1-for-1 with three walks and two runs; Zach Miller, 1-for-2 with three runs; Hartley, 1-for-4, a double, two RBIs and a run; and Josh Sanford, a run.

For Offshore Hammers, Cade Minton finished 2-for-3 with three runs, while Xavier Coleman finished 1-for-2 with a triple and an RBI, and Harold Edwards finished 1-for-2 with a triple and a run.

Other Hammers’ hitters included Shane Henry, 1-for-3 with three RBIs; Maurice Martin, 1-for-3 with a double and a run; Adam Dupre, 1-for-2, a double and three runs; Tyler Longman and Oscar Martinez, an RBI each; and Ross Albritton, a run.

On the mound, Dupre surrendered three hits, walked four and struck out five in three innings of work.

Rapid Trucking 4

Taco Bell and Rapid Trucking played to a 4-4 tie in City League Dixie Youth action in Morgan City Thursday at Complex Park.

Phillip Guarisco led Taco Bell with a 1-for-2 performance with a triple, an RBI and a run, while Khairich Hartley added a 1-for-2 performance with a run, and Hugh Hamer and Brett Morell each finished 1-for-2.

Other Taco Bell hitters included Kytrell Grogan with an RBI, and Akaya Poole and Austin Deshotel, with a run each.

On the mound, Morell, Poole and Gunnar Theriot each pitched an inning. Morell surrendered two walks and struck out two, while Poole surrendered two hits and struck out one. Theriot gave up two runs, one hit, one walk and struck out three.

For Rapid Trucking, Thomas Davis led the squad with a 1-for-2 performance with an RBI and a run, while Grant Stansbury and Kurvontay Webb finished with two runs and a run, respectively.

William LaRocca went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, four RBIs and three runs to lead M C Bank to an 11-4 victory against Ocean Marine in City League play Thursday at Complex Park

Other M C Bank hitters included Braxton Fontenot, 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs; Leroy Byers, 1-for-1, a triple and an RBI; and Nylan Francis and Eli Henry, scored a run each.

Dylan Tingle earned the win for M C Bank. In an inning, he allowed a hit, two runs, walked two and struck out two.

Fontenot also pitched three innings and allowed two runs on two hits. He walked one and struck out seven.

For Ocean Marine, Austin Blair, Taylor Blanchard and Alex Boudreaux all finished 1-for-2 with a run.

M C Rentals 6,

Skipper’s 3

Cooper LeBlanc went 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs to lead Morgan City Rentals to a 6-3 victory against Skipper’s in action at Complex Park on April 18.

Other hitters for M C Rentals included Zach Miller and Jaybian Hartley, each 1-for-2 with a run, while Daniel Magann, Brooks Thomas and Tucker Manuel scored a run each.

On the mound, Hartley surrendered three runs on three hits and struck out five in four innings of work, while Thomas pitched two innings and surrendered a run on four hits. He walked one and struck out six.

For Skipper’s, Thomas Mire finished 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run, while Cade Dupre finished 2-for-3 with a run. Johnny’s Propeller 3, Dragna 0

Makye Richard and Jean Pat Dupuy’s bats and arms helped lead Johnny’s Propeller to a 3-0 win against Dragna in Dixie Youth action April 18 at Complex Park.

Richard finished 1-for-2 with a double and a run. While on the mound, the youngster pitched three innings and surrendered a run on two hits. Richard walked one and struck out six.

Dupuy, who earned the win for Johnny’s, surrendered just a walk and struck out five. At the plate, he finished 1-for-2 with a double.

Other Johnny’s hitters included Tyler O’Con, 1-for-3 with a double and a run; Ben Allen, 1-for-3; and Adam Blum, 1-for-1.

For Dragna, Bryce Grizzaffi finished 1-for-2 with a double, while Cameron Aucoin finished 1-for-2 and Ronjour Granger scored a run.

Hunter Mouton pitched four innings for Dragna and surrendered a run on three hits. He walked three and struck out seven.

Logan Tingle also pitched an inning and surrendered two runs on two hits and struck out two.

Morgan City Rentals 9, Rapid Trucking 4

Ryan Miller went 3-for-3 to lead Morgan City Rentals to a 9-4 win against Rapid Trucking in Dixie Youth action Monday at Spinella Park in Morgan City.

Other Morgan City Rentals’ hitters included Landon Acosta and DaKari Charles, 1-for-2 each, and Ethan Boagni, 1-for-3.

Matthew Mire earned the win for Rapid Trucking, while Grant Stansbury suffered the loss.

Grizzaffi’s 14,

A.J. Dohmann 3

Ty Eschette led Grizzaffi’s to a 14-3 victory against A.J. Dohmann on Monday night at Spinella Park.

Eschette earned the win on the mound and also finished 3-for-3 at the plate along with Vernon Singleton.

Other Grizzaffi’s players collecting hits included Drew Rock, Zaki Singleton and Andy Gros, all 2-for-3; Joe Wade, 1-for-2; and Dane Griffin, John Hymel and Pat Carmichael, all 1-for-3.

Mekiah Branton suffered the loss for A.J. Dohmann.

Branton, Justin Adams and Tate Aucoin all went 2-for-2 for A.J. Dohmann, while Ty’Jae Vaughns finished 1-for-2.

Morgan City Rentals 10, Charlie’s Lanes 3

Four players collected two hits apiece to lead Morgan City Rentals to a 10-3 victory against Charlie’s Lanes.

Luke Barbier, Michael Anthony Hill, Matthew Mire and Ethan Boagni all finished 2-for-2.

Ryan Miller was the winning pitcher, while Kade Pichoff suffered the loss.

No hits were recorded by Charlie’s Lanes.

Rapid Trucking 4

Dylan Tingle and Ethan Blanco each collected a hit as M C Bank defeated Rapid Trucking, 5-4.

Seth Giroir and Lucas Hatch each went 3-for-3 to lead Gator Rigging to a 17-4 victory against TK Towing in 11-12-year-old action April 12 at the Bayou Vista Civic Center.

Giroir finished the night with a double, a triple and four RBIs, while Hatch recorded a double and three RBIs.
