Swampland play resumes today

Staff Report

Halimar Shipyard (Central Catholic) will play all three of its Swampland games this week on the road, including two that were scheduled home games, due to damage the facility it uses at the Amelia Recreation Department received during last week’s inclement weather.

Halimar will play today on the road against H.L. Bourgeois with a varsity game at 5 p.m. The game originally was scheduled as a home game for the Central Catholic’s summer league team.

After playing its originally scheduled road game against Trinity Tools (Covenant Christian) Tuesday at Southland Field in Houma with junior varsity set for 5 p.m. and varsity to follow at 7 p.m., the squad will again play on the road instead of home on Thursday when it faces Jester’s Court (Central Lafourche). Those games are set for 5 p.m. (junior varsity) and 7 p.m. (varsity).

In other action today, Taco Bell (Berwick) will host Skipper’s Sporting Goods (Morgan City). Junior varsity play is set for 5 p.m. and varsity will follow at 7 p.m.

Also today, Patterson will host Trinity Tools, with junior varsity set for 5 p.m. and varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
