Stiel and Strohm joined in marriage
Caroline Susan Stiel and Joseph Andrew Strohm were joined together in holy matrimony on Saturday, March 10 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Franklin. The Reverend Lewis Calvin Lane III, Ph.D., officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donelson Palfrey Stiel Sr. and Mrs. Cheryl Neumann Kemper of Franklin. She is the granddaughter of the late Bernard J. “Bud” and Rosemary Murphy Neumann of Beaumont, Texas and Mrs. Patricia Palfrey Stiel and the late David H. Stiel Jr. of Franklin.
Caroline is a graduate of Hanson Memorial High School and holds a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in Baton Rouge. Caroline is employed with the office of Dr. J. Matthew Randall in Baton Rouge.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Daniel Strohm of Oakdale, Louisiana. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Higdon of Glenmora, Louisiana and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Strohm of Wapakoneta, Ohio.
Andrew is a graduate of Oakdale High School and holds a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Andrew is employed with Burns & Wilcox Underwriting Company in Baton Rouge.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory satin jacquard by New York designer Amsale. The exquisite gown featured a coordinating fabric belt and a crystal brooch accentuated the bride’s natural waist. The trumpet-length gown flowed into a subtle, chapel-length train, which complimented the ivory raw-edged Amsale cathedral-length veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of all white blooms consisting of hydrangea, lisianthus, tulips and calla lilies. The stems of the bouquet were wrapped in ivory ribbon and antique lace. An heirloom rosary, once belonging to the bride’s Grandmother Neumann, interlaced the lovely bouquet.
Katelyn Murphy Stiel, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sally Palfrey Stiel, Patricia Crosby Newton, Kara Marie Neumann, Melissa Rene’ Strohm, Erin Anne Farrell, Katherine Anzalone Broussard and Erin Schexnaildre Besaw. Aidan Rose Tyler, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
Luke J. Lozes served as best man. Groomsmen were Donelson P. Stiel Jr., Josh W. Johnson, Jason G. Mannina, Dr. Phillip H. Ehlers and Brad J. Topham. Lon L. St. Blanc, Gregory A. Strohm and Stephen L. Strohm served as ushers.
Following a honeymoon trip to the French Polynesian islands of Moorea and Bora Bora, the newly weds will reside in Baton Rouge.
