When Boudreaux’s boat was spotted around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday drifting in the waters of the Intracoastal Waterway near the Jack Miller boat landing in Plaquemine, his family went to look for him.
Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi said Boudreaux’s parents discovered their son’s body at 8:30 a.m. at the family’s campsite near Grand River. Boudreaux had been shot in the head
Eight hours later, Stassi says Detrell Scott was arrested.
The sheriff said Scott told investigators that Boudreaux had allowed him to tag along Wednesday morning as he fished along the Intracoastal Waterway.
