Auditions are set for next TAC production
Techeland Arts Council is gearing up for its third annual production in its series of live performances of No Hitchin’.
This year’s performance is entitled “Bayou Bells” and is written and directed by Diane Wiltz.
Auditions will be held at the Lamp Post at 735 Main St. in Franklin Feb. 25-27 from 6-8 p.m.
Cast members needed are as follows: white elementary age boys, white and African-American male teenagers, African-American female teenagers, white and African-American middle-aged women and men, white and African-Americans of all ages for congregations.
The production will run from April 25-30. Previous acting experience is not required. For more information call 337-907-6412.
Techeland Arts Council was originally founded to gather the unique stories of people in the local area and then bring them to the live stage. The first performance in 2012 was entitled “What a Ride!” written by Marc Pettaway from Lake Charles. In 2013 Techeland presented “Bayou Storm Rising” by local writers Sue Davis and Roger Stouff.
