St. Mary area arrests reported

In addition to major arrests made during the weekend, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:

—Samantha Landreneau, 20, of South Verret Street, Amelia, arrested at home at 5:39 a.m. Friday for disturbing the peace intoxicated. Released on $250 bond.

—Yesenia Ortiz, 21, of Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, arrested on Marguerite Street, Morgan City, at 6:54 p.m. Friday on charges of operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States and stop sign violation. Incarcerated in the parish jail with no bond yet set.

—Alfred Stokes Jr., 31, of Marietta Place, Gray, arrested on Railroad Avenue in Morgan City at 1:13 p.m. Friday on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. He was released on a court summons.

—Chantell Ruffin, 22, of North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, arrested at 1:26 p.m. Saturday on La. 182 in Amelia on warrants for Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear in court for improper lane use and speeding. Turned over to MCPD for processing.

—Alicia Sylvester, 23, of James Street, Morgan City, arrested on La. 182 in Amelia at 1:28 p.m. Friday on warrants from St. Mary Parish for failure to appear for revocation on charge of possession of marijuana and on a warrant from the Houma Police Department for contempt of court for failure to comply with sentence imposed on original charge of theft of goods. No bond yet set.

—Joseph Eusey, 34, of Hendricks Street, Patterson, arrested at 7:18 p.m. Friday on U.S. 90 in Bayou Vista for possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal and two counts of failure to appear in court. Incarcerated with bond set at $14,250.

The Berwick Police Department reports the following arrests, according to Chief James Richard:

—Donna Glaze, 55, of C J C Lane, Morgan City, arrested at 7:59 p.m. Sunday on Ehrlich Street, charged with simple criminal damage to property over $500, reckless operation with a crash, and disturbing the peace. Still incarcerated, awaiting bond.

—Jarett Reed, 17, Todd Lane, Bayou Vista, arrested Sunday at 3:55 a.m. on Young Street, charged with aggravated battery of a police officer, resisting a police officer with force or violence, and disturbing the peace by intoxication. An officer was called to a loud music complaint, and the subject became irate and struck officer with a piece of molding off top of vehicle. Incarcerated awaiting bond.

The Patterson Police Department reported the following arrests over the weekend, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:

—Alma Arguijo, 33, of Onstead Street, Morgan City, arrested on Veterans Drive at 1:48 p.m. Saturday for speeding and no driver’s license. Released upon payment of cash bond of $376.

—Luke Joseph Patterson, 17, of Main Street, Patterson, arrested on Zenor Road at 7:19 a.m. Saturday for speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of tobacco products by person under 18, and driving while intoxicated first offense. Released on payment of $6,000.

—Mary Anetra Davis, 31, of Hickory Street, Patterson, arrested at 3:43 p.m. Sunday on Hickory Street for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Released on payment of $378 bond.

—Danny Bair, 17, of Shady Grove Lane, Patterson, arrested on Taft Street at 8:18 p.m. Sunday for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and one count of no driver’s license. Incarcerated with bond of $901.

—Clint Gant, 46, of Cleveland Street, Patterson, arrested at home at 2:27 a.m. on Sunday for impeding the flow of traffic, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by language. Released upon payment of $817 fine.

The Morgan City Police Department made the following arrests over the weekend, according to Chief Marc Folse:

—Rachel Fabre, 27, of Sydney Jo Lane, Berwick, arrested at 12:50 p.m. Friday at CVS Pharmacy on warrants for no driver’s license, speeding, no insurance, and improper lane usage. Released upon payment of $1,005 bond.

—Brandy Anthony, 36, of Fairview Drive, Morgan City, arrested at 3:36 p.m. Friday at Brashear Avenue and Third Street on a warrant for issuing worthless check. Released upon payment of $385 bond.

—Chantal Ruffin, 22, of North Bayou Black Road, Gibson, arrested at 1:42 p.m. Saturday at MCPD headquarters on warrants for speeding and improper lane usage. Released upon payment of $535 bond.

—Jacob Bernier, 26, of Stevens Drive, Panama City, Fla., arrested at 11:07 p.m. Saturday at the Days Inn for simple criminal damage to property and appearing in public intoxicated. Still incarcerated with bond set at $770.

—Dennis Driskill, 39, of 4th Street, Morgan City, arrested at 3:29 a.m. Sunday at home for domestic abuse battery. Still incarcerated with no bond yet set.

—Samara Amchin, 37, of 4th Street, Morgan City, arrested at 3:29 a.m. Sunday at home for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Still incarcerated with bond set at $1,470.

—Diego Arredondo Cisneros, 33, of Morgan City Motel, arrested at 3:59 a.m. today on Brashear Avenue for simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. Still incarcerated with no bond yet set.
