St. Martin Council will meet tonight

A resolution requesting a study to add a turning lane to access Stephensville Elementary School and the St. Martin Parish Recreation District 1 Park on La. 70 is among the items the St. Martin Parish Council is expected to consider during its monthly meeting today in St. Martinville.

The resolution requests the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development conduct a study to add a turning lane to access these two areas.

Also during Tuesday’s meeting, the council is expected to consider a resolution appointing Faith “Laura” Magann to fill the unexpired term of John Desrosiers on the St. Martin Parish Recreation District 1 committee.

Today’s meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Carroll J. Fuselier Meeting Room at the Annex Building, 301 West Port St.

It is open to the public.
