St. Blanc named ‘Employee of the Year’ at Foundation
Karen St. Blanc is the Franklin Foundation Hospital Employee of the Year.
She was recognized Thursday morning along with others during the hospital’s annual Employee Awards Ceremony in the FFH board room.
Employees and management were served a gourmet breakfast, watched a slideshow presentation and were recognized for their dedication and loyalty to FFH.
St. Blanc has been with FFH since 1971. Her positions have included director of Nursing Services, Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement program, risk manager, Nurse Informatics and she is FFH’s Computerized Physician Order Entry champion.
“She truly exemplifies what nursing is all about, providing the best patient care possible through advancements in technology,” said FFH Chief Executive Director Parker Templeton.
St. Blanc is the daughter of the late Dr. C.J. Schexnaildre and Mrs. C.J. Schexnaildre and the wife of Vincent St. Blanc III. She has three children and six grandchildren.
The Boomerang Award winner is Ramona Benjamin. The Boomerang Award is given to an employee who is recognized by their co-workers and patients for acts of kindness and an “above and beyond work ethic.”
Employees receiving awards for years of service include:
—Five Years: Sherie Boutte, Terri Gant, Mary Hughes, Thursula Jacobs, Marjorie Parchmont, Elizabeth Reid, Bonnie Smart, Clint Subra, Marlo Tibbs and Kristine Trapp.
—Ten Years: Danielle Cavalier, Monica Harris and Charlie Ibert.
—Fifteen Years: Raeschell Franklin and Renea Mitchell.
