A Morgan City man won the Bayou Horseshoe Pitcher’s Association’s Singles for Dollars tournament held Saturday at Kemper Williams Park.
Travis Hebert won the tournament after posting a 3-0 mark and a 24.2 ringer percentage.
Hebert advanced to the championship bracket after winning the Class Hearts division with a 4.5-1.5 mark and a 19.5 ringer percentage.
In the championship bracket, he defeated O.J. Cole of Centerville, Kevin Doré of Patterson and Bill Seither of Buras.
Cole finished in second place with a 2-1 mark and a 31.7 ringer percentage, while Doré was third with a 1-2 mark and a 31.7 ringer percentage.
Seither finished fourth with a 0-3 mark and an 18.3 ringer percentage.
Like Hebert, Cole, Doré and Seither all advanced to the championship bracket after winning their classes. Cole took first place in Class Spades with a 4-1 mark and a 34.5 ringer percentage, while Doré won Class Clubs with a 4-1 mark and a 34.5 ringer percentage and Seither took top honors in Class Diamonds with a 6-1 mark and a ringer percentage of 30.0.
Pat Pertuit of Marrero was second in Class Space with a 3-2 mark and a 52.5 ringer percentage, while Clyde Landry of Pierre Part was third in Class Spades with a 3-2 mark and a 30.5 ringer percentage.
In Class Clubs, Larry Pertuit of Marrero took second place with a 3-2 mark and a 25.5 ringer percentage, while Sharla Fontenot of Lacassine was third with a 2.5-2.5 mark and a ringer percentage of 32.
In Class Diamonds, Tim Gilmore of Bayou Vista was second with a 4.5-2.5 mark and a 53.3 ringer percentage, while Linda Dodson of Morgan City was third with a 4.5-2.5 mark and a 39.1 ringer percentage.
In Class Hearts, Edie Corso of Harahan was second with a 3-2 mark and a ringer percentage of 39.0, while Gerald Prados of Centerville was third with a 3-2 mark and a ringer percentage of 26.0.
