Rankin to have role in movie coming to theaters Friday
MORGAN CITY, La. — Actor Kevin Rankin, originally from Morgan City, will have a role in the movie “White House Down” coming to theaters Friday.
Rankin, 37, is the son of Tom and Pam Rankin of Morgan City.
Rankin plays one of the “bad guys” who takes the White House hostage in the movie, Pam Rankin said.
He will be playing the role of “Killick” in the movie, which stars Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum.
Rankin will also be in “Pawn Shop Chronicles” starring Brendan Fraser and Elijah Wood coming to theaters July 12.
Also in July, Rankin will play in the movie “Congratulations,” which is to be released on iTunes and Amazon Streaming. It stars Debra Jo Rupp, Brian Dietzen and Abby Miller.
Coming to theaters at the end of the year, Rankin will play “T.J.” in “Dallas Buyers Club” starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Steve Zahn.
