Progress sections in today's edition

The Daily Review is proud to present its 40th annual Progress edition today.

While the national economy continues to limp along, Louisiana and the Acadiana Region are seeing business pick up, with high oil prices buoying the petroleum and related industries in the area and drilling slowly picking up as a new, more intensive permitting process is put into effect.

We are proud to spotlight the businesses of this area, the lifeblood of our economy, in two special sections. These extra pages celebrate the success of our area retailers and manufacturers, despite the economic difficulties we face today.

In honor of these businesses, we temporarily set aside our objective duties and allow these businesses to tell their stories, in their own words.

In addition to these articles, the edition also includes articles on the government entities that regulate and facilitate the progress we all appreciate and photographs of the many improvements that governments, businesses and individuals have strived to make during the past year.

Today’s edition also includes advertisements purchased by valued edition supporters, further celebrating the success of all.
