Port board to meet
Raymond “Mac” Wade, longtime board member and current president of the Morgan City Port Harbor and Terminal District, resigned his post effective Sept. 1.
Wade said this morning he was resigning due to work commitments, but will remain active with the port and its board.
On the board’s agenda for Monday’s monthly meeting is an item to elect a new board president and other officers.
Also on the agenda is action on contracts with Knobloch Professional Services and an executive session to discuss security personnel, plans or devices as they relate to U.S. Department of Homeland Security programs.
Under old business, the board will discuss the Youngswood Site Development Project, boat ramp construction and office building improvements.
The meeting is slated for 5 p.m. Monday at the port office, 800 Youngs Road in Morgan City, and is open to the public.
