Police Reports 9-27-12
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests this morning:
Vanessa Diggs, 48, of 407 Morris St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 8:21 a.m. on charges of failure to register or notify as a sex offender or child predator and failure to notify law enforcement of a change of address. No bond was set.
Mar’keisha A. Hamilton, 18, of 109 Francis Lane, Lot 27, Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 3:51 p.m. on six Franklin warrants charging her with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, no driver’s license, two counts of simple criminal damage to property, simple battery, leaving the scene of an accident and careless operation. No bond was set.
A female juvenile, age 14, was arrested Wednesday at 4:41 p.m. on a charge of simple battery.
A juvenile male, age 15, was arrested Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. on a charge of cruelty to animals.
Both were released to guardians pending juvenile court.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Jill Lorena Vining, 34, of Camille Street, Patterson, Wednesday at 7:19 a.m. on charges of hit and run driving, DWI, warrants charging her with two counts of failure to appear on charges of issuing worthless checks, criminal neglect of family and issuing worthless checks. She was held on $6,068 bond.
Darren Jamal Caffery, 18, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 3:05 p.m. on charges of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of juveniles. No bond was set.
Chelsey M. Jack, 17, of Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 6:34 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace by obscene language. She was held on $250 bond.
A female juvenile, age 15, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of daytime curfew violation. She was released to a guardian pending juvenile court.
The Sheriff’s Office Narcotic’s Division reported the arrest of Ross Franks, 45, of 316 Elm St., Centerville, Wednesday at 2:40 p.m. on a charge of possession of crack cocaine. No bond was set.
