Pelicans release partial ticket plans

Staff Report

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Pelicans announced Wednesday that partial plans for the 2013-14 season now are on sale.

Partial plans, including two half-season and three 12-game plans, start as low as $13 per seat, per game. Fans can reserve their plan by visiting Pelicans.com or by calling 504-525-HOOP.

As the team’s first season as the Pelicans nears, fans can select either the Superstar or Contender Package, which includes some of the top teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences, or the Weekend Package, which includes premier opponents weekend nights. Half season plans are also available.

The Superstar package will be highlighted by games against Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets and Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers. Games in the Superstar plan are a mix of weeknight and weekend games and also include tickets to the Pelicans’ pre-season match-up against LeBron James and Dwyane Wade and the two-time defending NBA Champion Miami Heat.

Headlining the Contender plan is the Pelicans’ game against the Miami Heat, as well as match-ups with Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Houston Rockets and tickets to Opening Night against the Indiana Pacers. Ten of the 12 games are Monday through Wednesday night contests.

The Weekend plan, which includes games on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, is highlighted by the Pelicans’ lone home contest against Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls, as well as a game against the Thunder.

In addition to the Contender, Superstar and Weekend packages, fans can purchase half-season plans.

Half Season A is headlined by the Pelicans vs. Heat match-up, as well as eight weekend games.

Featuring 10 weekend games, the Half Season B plan is highlighted by the Pelican’s match-up with the Bulls.

Each plan includes an account executive that will provide service and ensure a personalized Pelicans experience for each plan holder. Partial plan holders also will have priority in purchasing playoff tickets before they go on sale to the general public.
