Parish council meets Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Members of the St. Mary Parish Council will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Items on the agenda include:

—Introduction of ordinances setting 2013 fiscal year millage rates for the purpose of maintaining and supporting the parish library system and the parish criminal justice system. The library property taxes, which are not assessed in Morgan City since an independent library is operated there, total 6.97 mills. The law enforcement taxes are 3.62 mills within municipalities and 7.25 outside of the municipalities.

—Introduction of ordinances on a specific use permit for Idlewild Farms, represented by Michael Accardo on property belonging to the Joseph P. Duhe Family LLC at 3200 La. 182, near Patterson; and the rezoning of property at 9070 U.S. 90 Frontage Road, Centerville, in behalf of Ronnie’s Airboat Fabrication LLC.

—Resolutions proclaiming the month of April as Fair Housing Month; congratulating the Morgan City Biddy Basketball 9- and 10-year-old All-Star Team for placing second in the national tournament; and authorizing certificates of substantial completion on the ramp demolition project on the Blevins building by Acadiane’ Renovations Ltd., and security system replacement at the Law Enforcement Center by R&S Corp.

—A request by 3rd Ward City Court Marshal David McCoy to help fund the purchase of a replacement vehicle.

The meeting will be held on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin and is open to the public.
