SHIRLEY BARRILLEAUX ROBICHEAUX
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Shirley Barrilleaux Robicheaux, 86 years old, a native of Charenton and resident of Centerville, who passed away at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, June, 15 2014. Fr. Ruben Primor celebrated the Mass. She was laid to rest in the St. Joseph Catholic Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers were Jacob “Jake” Robicheaux Jr., Wayne J. Robicheaux, Gary P. Robicheaux, Byron Robicheaux, Brent Robicheaux and Travis Robicheaux. Honorary pallbearer was Blaine Barrilleaux.
Ms. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include three sons, Jacob J. “Jake” Robicheaux Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Franklin; Wayne J. Robicheaux and his wife, Paulette, of Houston; and Gary P. Robicheaux and his wife, Janeen, of Centerville; one sister, Jackie B. Pontiff of Centerville; four grandchildren, Byron Robicheaux and his wife, Meredith; Brent Robicheaux and his wife, Maria; Hollie Robicheaux Blanchard and her husband, Rene; and Travis Robicheaux; two very special and adored great grandchildren, Jacob and Mary Claire; one step great granddaughter, Kortlyn; and her extended family members and friends who loved and adored her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob J. “Jake” Robicheaux Sr.; her parents, Henry and Lillian Sinitiere Barrilleaux; brothers, Roland Barrilleaux Sr. and Henry J. “Cotton” Barrilleaux; and one sister, Anna Lee Barrilleaux.
A gathering of family and friends was held Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville from 10 a.m. until time of service, with the rosary being prayed at 12:30 p.m.
