JOANN GRANGER PETERSON

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 19, at 9:30 a.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for JoAnn Granger Peterson, 60, a Franklin native and longtime resident of Opelousas, who passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 10:10 p.m., at Opelousas General Hospital. The Rev. Marshall Clotiaux, pastor of Living Faith Church in Youngsville, will officiate the memorial service. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert’s Mortuary, beginning at 8 a.m., and continuing until time of service. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Survivors include two brothers, Tex Granger and his wife, Marcia, of New Iberia; and Larry Granger and his wife, LaNell of Lafayette; one sister, Shirley G. Legnon and her husband, Patrick, of Baldwin; three aunts, Hazel Delcambre and Bernadette Paul, both of Franklin, and Stella Landry of New Iberia; as well as nine nieces; four nephews; three great nieces, and five great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Charpentier Granger and Alex P. Granger; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
