Charles Ivory “Dinky” Brown

Charles Ivory “Dinky” Brown, 52, a native and a resident of Morgan City, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Saturday at Lee Chapel AME Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Frankie Marcus of Morgan City, Dakota Charles of New Orleans, and Nicholas of Amelia; three daughters, Zaria of Baldwin, and Londyn Madison and Lauryn Makinzee, both of Lake Wells, Fla.; three brothers, Melvin Brown Sr. of Morgan City, Herbert Brown Sr. of Houma, and Anthony Brown of St. Martinville; and five sisters, Joetta Hebert, Carolyn Long and Janita Randle, all of Morgan City, Lydia Vernon of Baton Rouge, and Annie Wilson of Spring, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his grandparents.
Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City-Franklin-Jeanerette-Houma is in charge of arrangements.
