Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Blaine Allen Tabb, with a gathering of family and friends beginning Tuesday at 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., and again Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Howard J. Tabb Jr., Joseph Tabb, Brock Tabb, Andy Gott, Dwayne Harmon, Lanny Smit, Louis Tabb and David Folks, with David Mitchell as honorary pallbearer. The Rev. Bobby Hodnett and the Rev. Joe Sauce will officiate the services.
Blaine was born in Abbeville and was a lifelong resident of Baldwin, who passed away at the age of 20 as the result of a boating accident in the Atchafalaya River. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and touched so many people’s lives in his all too brief time with us. He will be deeply missed.
Blaine leaves behind his parents, Howard J. Tabb Jr. and Sheila Hebert Tabb of Baldwin; his brother, Brock Joseph Tabb of New Iberia; his sister, Paige Tabb Gott and her husband, Andy, of New Iberia; paternal grandparents, Howard J. Tabb Sr. and Sandra Sauce Tabb of Baldwin; maternal grandparents, Allen Hebert and Margaret Vice Hebert of New Iberia; aunts, Tina Tabb of Baldwin, Rachel Tabb of Sorrel, Stephanie Breaux of New Iberia and Agnes Webb of New Iberia; uncles, Joseph Tabb of Baldwin and Mark Hebert of New Iberia; two special cousins, Anna-Katherine and Avery Grace; as well as numerous other cousins, family members and friends.
