The Bishop Ordie Perro, 71, a native and resident of Jeanerette, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 4:50 p.m., at The Regional Medical Center of Lafayette.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, at the First Church of God in Christ in Jeanerette, from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Godman Cemetery in Charenton where Bishop James Feltus will officiate the services.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Barry Wayne Perro of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Wanda Ann Perro and Paula Patrice Perro, both of Jeanerette; six brothers, Isiah Perro, Ruben Sr. (Connie) Perro, Sidney (Beverly) Perro, Kenneth Roman, Charles Roman, all of New Iberia, and Ezkiel (Willie Mae) Perro of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Ernestine (Benjamin) Dorsey of Four Corners and Mary Nell Roman of New Iberia; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Bishop Perro was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
