Avanda Christina Salvador, 44, a resident of Morgan City passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Avanda was born on Feb. 3, 1969, in Morgan City, the daughter of Anthony Berthelot and Evelyn Holden.
Avanda was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She had a love for people and if she could help anyone in any way she would do so. She enjoyed bowling, going shopping, dancing and sitting in her recliner watching Lifetime.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her mother, Evelyn Petree; her father, Anthony Berthelot; her stepmother, Annie Berthelot; four children, Jose Salvador Jr. and fiancé, Micaela McHugh, Carlie Salvador, Robin Salvador and Kaylie Salvador, all of Morgan City; and two granddaughters, Brooklyn Kennerson and Jayla Salvador. Avanda is also survived by three brothers, Wayne Berthelot, Tracy Berthelot and Victor Berthelot Jr.; three sisters, Sedonia Lousteau, Shaleah Berthelot and Toni Marie Berthelot; paternal grandmother, Rosella Sanders; and her cousin and best friend, Antoinette Brown.
Avanda was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Berthelot; maternal grandparents, Aaron James Holden and Christabell Holden; and paternal grandfather, Gervis Berthelot.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Avanda will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following funeral services.
