AMY SIMONEAUX BROUSSARD

A Mass of Christian burial for Amy Simoneaux Broussard will be celebrated Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 2 p.m., at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin. She will be laid to rest in the Patoutville Cemetery. Fr. Thomas Vu will officiate the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until time of dismissal at 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. Amy was a native of Jeanerette and a longtime resident of Franklin. She passed away at the age of 87 on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at 10:33 a.m., at the Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie B. Clausen and Betty Tracy and her husband, Harry Jr.; one brother, Kerney Simoneaux; three sisters, Eloise Kern, Ann Ardeneaux and Janice Adams; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Broussard; her parents, Adrian Simoneaux and Bernadette Haydel Simoneaux; seven brothers, Rivers, Ordie, Ovide, Wesley, Ray, Harold and Ulysses Simoneaux; and one son-in-law, Donald Clausen.
