Nikkie N. Henry

Nikkie N. Henry, 26, of Bayou L’Ourse, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at her home.

Nikkie was born Feb. 2, 1985, in Bossier City. On June 24, 2007, she married John Henry, and he survives.

She enjoyed being outdoors, being on the boat and going to the camp, and loved to cook and clean. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but especially loved spending time with her daughter Kaitlynn and husband John.

Nikkie is survived by her husband, John Henry of Bayou L’Ourse; her daughter, Kaitlynn Henry of Bayou L’Ourse; her mother and father, Sandy and Johnny Fabre of Bayou L’Ourse; two sisters, Rene Wyatt of Bayou L’Ourse, and Lysa Fabre of Gibson; two brothers, Robert Wyatt of Bayou L’Ourse, and Johnny Fabre Jr. of Bayou L’Ourse; her nanny, Tonika Cooper of Gibson; four sister-in-laws, Samantha Broussard of Bayou L’Ourse, Angela Henry of Chalmette, Crystal Henry of Pine Praire, and Donna Resignola and husband Jude of Morgan City; her aunt, Kathy Young and husband Billy of Blanchard; and one grandfather, Joseph B. McGee of Shreveport. She is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; her mother-in-law, Janet Henry of Grant; and many, many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Agnes Foret, Martha McGee, and Gracie DeSotta; her grandfather, Buddy Wyatt; Nanny Nut, Patricia Ann Trosclair; her great-grandparents, Maggie McGee, Joseph Edward McGee, and Albert and Leola Anderson; and her father-in-law, Adam Henry Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Nikkie will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
