Morgan City woman wins football contest winner
Marianne Turnage of Morgan City is this season’s first winner of The Daily Review Football contest.
Turnage correctly picked 13 of the 17 games. She wins $40.
Taking second place was Eric Cortez of Morgan City who also picked 13 of the 17 games correctly, but lost on the tie-breaker. Cortez wins the $20 second place prize.
The tie-breaker was Ball State versus North Texas, which North Texas won 34-27. Turnage had the score at 42 North Texas to 27 Ball State. Cortez predicted Ball State 31, North Texas 30.
