Morgan City police arrest man for crack cocaine
The Berwick Police Department reported one arrest Wednesday, according to Chief James Richard:
—Harold Anthony Jones Jr., 35, of Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. today on Blum Blvd. for entry on or remaining where forbidden and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. He remains in jail awaiting bail. He was arrested on the same charge Aug. 12.
The Patterson Police Department made the following arrests Wednesday, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:
—Jason Blanchard, 35, of Tiffany Street, Patterson, was arrested at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Taft and Hickory streets for driving while intoxicated first offense, careless operation and a city court warrant for simple assault, criminal damage to property, resisting by flight and simple battery. He remains jailed on a parole hold without bail.
—Terry C. Scott, 50, of Houma, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 90 East for driving under suspension and speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was released upon payment of a $403 fine.
The Morgan City Police Department reports the following arrest Wednesday, according to Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco:
—Ralph Patterson Jr., 55, of Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for simple battery. He turned himself in at the police department. He posted bail of $5,000 and was released.
—Velma Patterson, 48, of Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for simple battery. She turned herself in at the police department. She posted bail of $5,000 and was released.
—Brandon Mouton, 38, of Stelly Road, Carencro, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday for possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Morgan City police officers were dispatched to the Twin City Motel regarding a suspicious subject who appeared to be intoxicated in front of the motel. Upon arrival, they located Mouton outside of his room only in a T-shirt and boxer underwear, the report stated. He consented to a search of his room, and the officers located suspected crack cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia, the report stated. Mouton remains jailed with bail not set.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported one shoplifting arrest on Wednesday, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:
—Rhondalyn Butler, 26, of Fern Street, Patterson, was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Wendy’s restaurant in Bayou Vista for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Store employees said that a female wearing a Wendy’s uniform was observed placing several items in her pockets. When the employee approached Butler, she ran out of the store, dropping her purse in the process. Butler was located at the fast food restaurant. She was released on a summons to appear in court.
