Morgan City man arrested for aggravated rape
MORGAN CITY, La. -- A 49-year-old Morgan City man was arrested and charged with raping a female victim at knifepoint Saturday.
Frank C. Lally, 49, of La. 182, was arrested by Morgan City police at 4:14 a.m. Saturday for aggravated rape.
Lally was arrested after officers investigated a complaint of rape by a female victim. The victim stated that Lally forced her to engage in sexual activity while threatening her with a knife. Lally was located at his residence during the investigation and taken into custody.
Lally is in city jail with bail set at $150,000.
Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Glenn Blanco reported the following arrests:
—Blake M. Dinger, 19, of Neptune Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:02 a.m. Saturday for disturbing the peace intoxicated. He was released on a $295 bail.
—Ulrick K. Mathews, 41, of Derrider, was arrested at 11:02 a.m. Sunday for disturbing the peace intoxicated and on a warrant for failure to appear in city court. No bail has been set on the warrant.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Terrell Travon Gant, 24, of Henry Lane in Franklin, was arrested at 10:56 a.m. Friday on two warrants for domestic abuse battery, two warrants for simple criminal damage to property, and two warrants for failure to appear on charges of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Gant on Anthony Street in Bayou Vista on the warrant. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set.
—Gregory Payne, 37, of Saturn Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:29 p.m. Friday for domestic abuse battery third offense.
—Donna Sherrie Guillory, 41, of Saturn Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:29 p.m. Friday for domestic abuse battery.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the residence on Saturn Road. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Payne and Guillory were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated into a physical encounter. Payne and Guillory committed a battery upon each other, the report stated. Both were taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set.
—Terrell O’Neil Brown, 22, of Jupiter Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. Friday on a warrant for possession of cocaine. A deputy located Brown at his residence on the warrant. His bail is set at $20,000.
—Stephanie Marie Henry, 34, of Mars Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Saturday on a warrant from Morgan City police for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery. Henry turned herself in after learning of the warrant for her arrest. She was found at her residence and taken to the Morgan City Police Department. No bail has been set.
—Nicole Michelle Swackhamer, 27, of Arlington Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:49 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of failure to use a seatbelt and expired driver’s license. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle without an inspection sticker. During the investigation, the deputy learned that the driver, identified as Swackhamer, was wanted on a warrant. Swackhamer was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on a $324.50 bail.
—Clive Edward Mohler, 73, of Belanger Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:22 a.m. Sunday for license plate light required, resisting an officer and battery of a police officer. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle without a properly functioning license plate light and conducted a traffic stop on La. 182. During the investigation, the driver, identified as Mohler, walked away from the deputy pushing him during his attempt to leave, the report stated. Mohler was taken to the parish jail and held. He was released on a $2,250 bail.
