Bastrop traveled nearly six hours on a school bus only to find out that Morgan City had pushed Thursday’s second-round playoff game back an hour to 6 p.m.
The Morgan City High School Tigers were defeated by Vandebilt Catholic 11-5 in prep baseball play Wednesday at Tiger Diamond. Marquise Charles attempts to get a hit during game action. The Tigers are in action against Assumption in Napoleonville today with the game scheduled for 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Central Catholic continued its winning ways beating Ascension Catholic, 4-1, in District 7-1A play Wednesday in Amelia.
Morgan City High School Lady Tigers advanced two doubles teams and one singles participant to the Division II state tournament, which will be held April 30-May 1 in Monroe. The Morgan City High School girls tennis team finished as regional runner-up at the Region II 4A Regional Tennis Tournament earlier this week at Renaissance Family Fitness in Houma.
