Morgan City council to meet Tuesday
MORGAN CITY, La. — The city council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Court Building.
The agenda includes a resolution to approve the Louisiana Energy and Power Authority director and alternate director, a resolution to designate the fiscal agent of Morgan City, a resolution of support for South Central Louisiana Technical College’s plans to build a new Marine Safety Center at its Young Memorial Campus, and a resolution for a change order to the Roadways Repairs and Improvement Phase V.
The council will discuss the St. Mary Levee District Cooperative Endeavor Agreement Draft.
Also on the agenda will be the first reading of an ordinance to declare the results of a public hearing and approve a power sales contract, an ordinance to amend a 2009 ordinance to provide for separate reserve fund accounts, and an ordinance for the issuance and sale of utilities revenue refunding bonds.
The finance committee will present its recommendations regarding a resolution to renew the Health Plan Management/Servicing Agent Agreement and a resolution to approve a contract with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Louisiana as the city’s health insurance provider.
