Morgan City competes at 4A meet

BOURG — Morgan City finished fifth in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions at the District 8-4A track meet Wednesday.

The Tigers scored 41 points, while the Lady Tigers tallied 22 points.

Vandebilt Catholic won the boys’ meet with 96 points, while South Terrebonne won the girls’ title with 127 points.

Ellender’s Brian Verdin was the boys’ Track MVP, while South Terrebonne’s Adam Ziepke was the Field MVP.

In girls’ action, Ellender’s Netike Johnson was named Track MVP, while South Terrebonne’s Amber Authement was named Field MVP.
