Many weekend arrests reported by law enforcement agencies

According to Sheriff Mark Hebert, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests over the weekend.

—Jill E. Aucoin, 18, of Bayou Lane, Bayou L’Ourse, and a female juvenile, 16, of Thibodaux, were arrested at 9:53 p.m. Friday for theft by shoplifting with Aucoin also being charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile after a shoplifting investigation at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Both suspects were arrested; the juvenile was processed and released to guardian; Aucoin was booked into the parish jail with a $2,000 bond and later released.

—Juan Carlos Martinez León, 30, of Halsey Street, Morgan City, was arrested on La. 182 in Amelia at 2:53 a.m. Saturday for reckless operation of a vehicle, no driver’s license and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. Booked into the parish jail with no bond yet set.

—Ryan J. Kemp, 28, of Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested along U.S. 90 near Patterson at 7:52 a.m. Saturday for driving under suspension and a warrant for Terrebonne Parish for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Booked into parish jail with a $1,500 bond and later released.

—Glen Rochel Jr., 29, of Laura Drive, Patterson, was arrested at his home after a disturbance at 2:05 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for disturbing the peace. Booked into the parish jail with a $250 bond and later released.

—William A. Leblanc, 56, of Canal Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at his residence at 10:17 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family and was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Booked into the parish jail with no bond yet set.

The Berwick Police Department reports the following arrests, according to Chief James Richard.

—Cresencio Severion, 21, of Gaspar Drive, Lockport, was arrested Sunday at Federal Avenue in Morgan City for hit and run, reckless operation and operation of a vehicle without a lawful presence in the United States, after he struck another vehicle at the traffic light at Thorguson Drive and U.S. 90. Remains incarcerated with no bond yet set.

—Thurlow Flander Mayer III, 20, of Southdown-Mandalay Road, Houma, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Berwick Police headquarters on a warrant for second degree battery. Remains incarcerated with no bond yet set.

The Patterson Police Department reported the following arrests, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle.

—Stephanie Francis, 44, of Ledoux Street, Patterson, was arrested on Red Cypress Road at 10:24 p.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated, careless operation, and no driver’s license. Remains incarcerated with no bond set.

—James Franks, 58, of Prairie Road, Franklin, was arrested on U.S. 90 at 4:43 p.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated first offense and failure to yield. Remains incarcerated awaiting bond.

—Abigail Helaire, 19, of Chester Street, Lafayette, was arrested on U.S. 90 at Bernard Street at 3:17 a.m. today for possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21. Released on payment of $500 bond.

—Kayla I. Jackson, 19, Mills Road, Lafayette, was arrested on U.S. 90 at Bernard Street at 3:17 a.m. today for possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21. Released on payment of $500 bond.

The Morgan City Police Department reports the following arrests over the weekend, according to Chief Marc Folse.

—Kevin Jones, 43, of Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, charged on warrants for driving under suspension, motor vehicle insurance violation, and driving unsafe vehicle. Incarcerated with bond set at $723.

—Anita Steel, 37, of Freret Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Thursday, charged with warrant for telephone harassment. Released after payment of $685 bond.

—Kirk Hatcher Jr., 25, of Apple Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:32 p.m. Thursday, charged with disturbing the peace. Released after payment of $285 bond.

—Jacob Kleart, 18, of Teche Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Thursday, charged with possession of marijuana, contributing to delinquency of juvenile. Incarcerated with no bond yet set.

—Nepton Hatfield, 56, no address given, arrested in the parking lot of Lirette Ford at 7:18 p.m. Friday, charged with simple burglary. Officers who were called to the parking lot located Hatfield inside a vehicle digging through its interior. The vehicle belonged to a customer who was conducting business inside Lirette Ford. Booked and incarcerated with no bond yet set.

—Daniel Matthews, 32, of Haynes Boulevard, New Orleans, was arrested at 12:39 p.m. Saturday, charged with speeding, driving under suspension, open alcoholic container in vehicle. Incarcerated with bond set at $650.

—Jonathan Lindsey, 28, of North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, was arrested at 1:53 p.m. Saturday, charged with speeding, no vehicle insurance, driving under suspension and warrants for Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office for unpaid traffic tickets. Incarcerated with bond set at $785.

—Shane Concienne, 34, of Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. Saturday, charged with disturbing the peace intoxicated and resisting an officer. Incarcerated with bond set at $770.

—Carl Dupas, 48, of Park Avenue, Franklin, was arrested at 4:27 a.m. Sunday, charged with warrant for probation violation, failure to pay probation fees, failure to pay fine for simple battery involving domestic abuse battery. Remains incarcerated with no bond yet set.

—Jorge Fernandez, 36, of Catherine Street, Morgan City, was arrested at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and La. 182 at 1:56 a.m. today, charged with driving while intoxicated first offense, illegal parking, operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. Incarcerated with no bond yet set.
