Man arrested after shots fired into house
Morgan City police arrested an Elisabeth man after they determined he was involved in a Wednesday incident in which an occupied home was shot at on the north end of Sixth Street.
Jesse Ludeau, 28, of Cypress Street in Elisabeth, was arrested at 1:25 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for aggravated criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing, Chief Travis Crouch said.
Morgan City officers responded across the levee at Sixth Street to a complaint about two buildings being shot at the previous night.
One of the buildings was being used as a utility shed, and the other was being used as a home. Each building was shot twice, Crouch said.
Ludeau was identified as a suspect and brought in for questioning. He was released after posting bail of $16,000.
Morgan City Police also arrested the following, according to Crouch:
—Brandon Granger, 30, of Fourth Street in Morgan City, at 11:59 p.m. Thursday for domestic abuse battery. He remained jailed with no bail set this morning.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Kevian Mark Lee, 39, of Railroad Avenue in Patterson, at 3:25 p.m. Thursday at his home for violation of a restraining order that was issued by 16th Judicial District Court. He is being held on a $2,500 bail.
Sheriff Mark Hebert reported no eastern St. Mary Parish arrests.
Berwick Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
