A Texas man was arrested in Berwick by St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle almost striking several other vehicles on U.S. 90, a news release from St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert stated.
Gabriel Espinoza, 36, of North Plaza in Austin, Texas, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. today at Thorguson Road in Berwick, for reckless operation of a vehicle, possession of fraudulent documents, aggravated flight from an officer, two counts of resisting an officer, no driver’s license and general speed law 70 mph in a 35 mph zone.
Deputies were called about a vehicle traveling westbound on the eastbound lane of U.S. 90 near Amelia headed towards Morgan City.
