Float trip for man’s best friend May 10

Billy St. Blanc and daughter Madi of Charenton paddle into Parks with faithful pet Joe in last year’s Great Bayou Teche Dog Paddle. No dog? No problem. A canine companion is not a requirement to participate in the Great Bayou Teche Dog Paddle. Some paddlers feel compelled to fake it anyhow. (Photos courtesy Tour du Teche)

The Great Bayou Teche Dog Paddle, Saturday, May 10, will be an eight-mile trip by kayak, canoe or paddle board from the town of Breaux Bridge to the village of Parks in southern Louisiana.
