Campers are Brittany’s Project Special Friends

Brittany’s Project Special Friends Camp was held July 15-18 at Franklin Senior High School, with 26 campers turning out with help from community volunteers. The camp, designed for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, hosted crafts, activities and much more fun. Visitors included the sheriff’s department; Toney Wade and his Canine Friend Gus with Animal Investigations and Search & Rescue; Mitch the Magician; and the Franklin Police Department. A water fun day was held Friday at the former Oaklawn Sugar Mill property with a water slide, pizza and a visit from the Franklin Fire Department who created a water spray for the campers.
