The grand opening of the Siracusa Community Annex Building was celebrated Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the facility that is part of parish Recreation District 2. Emanuel Skinner, the oldest resident of the Siracusa community, cut the ribbon. He was joined by board members Alvin Wilkerson, Edward Thomas, Oscar Toups, Ann Poole and Gerrin Thibodeaux; employees Leroy Trim, Kimberlin Frank, Harold Granger, Melvin Jackson and Darrel Trim; and St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce representatives Donna Meyer and Jo Anne Bergeron. Numerous other friends and community members joined the celebration.
